the specimen's standing resolves at present to , a weighted sum of five scores: the membrane at thirty percent, the flow balance at twenty percent, the spread of the cells at twenty percent, the day's volume at fifteen percent, and the tenure of the pool at fifteen percent. each score runs from zero to one hundred and the composite inherits that range. it is recomputed on every overview poll, one sample every ten seconds, and the trailing one hundred and twenty samples are kept as a session history. the strip below shades that history left to right, oldest on the left and the present sample on the right, each cell darker as its value climbs. a reader who wants a single summary of the specimen can follow this strip and ignore everything else.
the specimen presently holds the form sealed. forms follow the composite through five bands: dormant below twenty, stirring from twenty, molted from forty, ascendant from sixty, apex from eighty. a band is not crossed the instant the composite touches it. to rise the composite must clear the threshold by two points, to fall it must drop two points beneath it, and either reading must hold for six consecutive polls, one minute in all, before the form is reassigned. this keeps the specimen from flickering on a noisy edge. every reassignment is a molt and every molt is written to the capsule record with the composite that caused it and the instant it happened. the last molt is described beneath the capsule. the shell of the capsule takes the colour of the form, and it changes over twenty seconds so the observer sees the form arrive as a tint rather than a switch.
the capsule breathes at beats per minute in . the rate comes from two exponentially weighted moving averages of traded usdg, one for intake and one for expulsion, each with a half life of five minutes, fed by every swap as it lands and decayed continuously between swaps. their sum is passed through a logarithm and a clamp onto a range of four to forty beats per minute, so a silent pool breathes slowly and never stops, and a pool moving hundreds of thousands of usdg an hour breathes as fast as the range allows. when intake exceeds expulsion the beat is called systole and the ring's ticks run forward; when expulsion exceeds intake it is diastole and the ticks run backward. the trace below reproduces one present cycle at the current rate.
the specimen is presently constituted of cells, the addresses holding a nonzero balance, of which the one hundred largest are treated as the tissue. each cell's share of circulating supply sets its size in the cloud inside the iris and its square in the map below. burn addresses and the zero address are excluded from cell counts and from the circulating figure, and the pool's own holding is excluded when it stands outside liquidity. the raw list, unedited, is reproduced in the intake column, and the cells are refreshed every thirty seconds from the holder index rather than on the ten second overview poll, because a cell divides more slowly than a price moves.
the boundary between the specimen and its medium reads , the ratio of pool depth to market value. a piecewise map turns that ratio into the membrane score: a ratio of one half or more is full coherence at one hundred, a ratio of zero is porosity at zero, and the score runs linearly between. the membrane is the heaviest term in the composite, at thirty percent, because a shallow pool under a large valuation is the condition in which every other reading becomes unreliable. depth is read from the pool manager through the state view, converted to usdg at the present price on both sides of the range, and market value is price times circulating supply; both are refreshed on the ten second overview poll.
the aperture on the capsule opens to of its travel, tracking the composite directly: a composite of fifty opens the iris halfway. six blades slide outward along their bisectors and the opening eases toward its target over roughly twenty seconds, so a sudden change in the composite is seen as a slow dilation rather than a jump. through the open iris the core is visible, and over the core the cell cloud, one dot per cell placed on a golden angle spiral so that the hundred dots fill the disc without a pattern. a closed iris means the composite has fallen to zero or no reading exists. the seal, described in its own section, is the state in which the iris cannot open at all.
the band around the capsule carries thirty six ticks, one every ten degrees, and it turns at a rate set by the pulse: ten degrees per second at sixty beats per minute, scaled to the present rate, forward under systole and backward under diastole. three latches ride the band at fixed positions and do not turn; only the tick pattern advances. the band is drawn in two halves, the far half behind the shell and the near half over it, which is what makes it read as a ring in the round rather than a line on the surface. the ring is an instrument of direction, nothing else: its speed tells the observer how much is flowing and its sense tells which way.
concentration among the cells is measured three ways. the herfindahl index, the sum of squared shares across the one hundred largest, reads ; the nakamoto count, the fewest largest cells whose shares reach one half of circulating supply, reads ; and the entropy of the top hundred, in nats, reads . only the herfindahl enters the composite, as the spread score, one hundred times one minus ten times the index, clamped: an index of one tenth or worse scores zero, a perfectly flat hundred scores ninety. the other two are reported for the reader. all three are recomputed on the thirty second holder poll and reproduced in the table below with the score.
| measure | reading | note |
|---|---|---|
| herfindahl | sum of squared shares | |
| nakamoto | cells to reach one half | |
| entropy | nats over one hundred | |
| spread score | enters the composite at twenty percent |
the day's flow is resliced into fifty buckets of equal usdg notional and within each the absolute imbalance between intake and expulsion is taken as a fraction of the bucket. the mean of those fifty fractions is the vpin reading, , a measure of how one sided the flow has been at the scale of a bucket. a pool in which every bucket is nearly all buys or all sells reads near one; a pool of balanced two way flow reads near zero. the toxicity score is one hundred times one minus the reading and is not part of the composite; it is reported so that a high composite reached on one sided flow can be seen for what it is. the bucket fractions themselves are drawn in the intake column.
the pool was initialised days ago and the tenure score is that age against thirty days, clamped, so a pool a month old or older scores one hundred. tenure enters the composite at fifteen percent. it is the only term that can only rise, and it exists so that a specimen cannot reach apex in its first hour on any amount of flow: with tenure at zero the composite is capped at eighty five, and the apex band needs eighty two to be entered. the initialise event is read once from the chain and the age is a clock in the browser against its timestamp.
before a contract is bound to this capsule the specimen is sealed. in the sealed form the shell takes its dormant colour, the iris is shut, no cells are drawn, the ring does not turn and the capsule does not breathe. every heading, paragraph and figure on this page is rendered in the sealed form exactly as it is rendered afterward; only the readings are absent, and an absent reading is shown as an empty outlined space and never as a stand in value. the seal is broken by configuring the token address and the pool identifier, after which the first overview poll assigns a form and the first molt from sealed is logged.
every molt, every start and stop of the index, and every failure of a poll is written to the capsule record with an instrument timestamp, and the most recent twelve entries are reproduced below. the full record is at capsule record. the record is append only; nothing in it is edited after the fact, and a poll that fails writes its failure as an entry rather than being silently retried.

the specimen is an erc20 token on robinhood chain. it has eighteen decimals, a fixed total supply set at deployment, and no owner functions after launch. it is listed through pons and trades in a single uniswap v4 pool against usdg. the site does not hold the token, does not trade it, and cannot act on the chain in any way; it reads. everything on the capsule page is a reading of that pool and that contract, or a number derived from such readings by a rule in this document.
the capsule is the instrument drawn at the centre of the page. it is not a picture of the token. its shell colour is the form, its aperture is the composite, its ring speed is the pulse, its ring sense is the direction of flow, its breathing is the pulse again, and the cloud inside its core is the hundred largest holders placed by share. nothing on the capsule is decorative; every part of it is bound to a reading listed on this page, and when a reading is absent that part goes still.
there are six forms. sealed is the form of a capsule with no contract bound. dormant is a composite below twenty. stirring is twenty to forty. molted is forty to sixty. ascendant is sixty to eighty. apex is eighty and above. bands are crossed only with two points of hysteresis and a dwell of sixty seconds, and a crossing is a molt. molts are logged by the overview function on the server, so the form is a shared fact rather than a per visitor computation, and a visitor who loads the page for the first time sees the form the record holds.
the composite is a weighted sum of five scores, each from zero to one hundred. the membrane score is the ratio of pool depth to market value mapped linearly onto zero to one hundred with one half as full score, weighted thirty percent. the flow score is intake divided by the sum of intake and expulsion, using the five minute exponentially weighted averages, weighted twenty percent. the spread score is one hundred times one minus ten times the herfindahl index of the hundred largest holders, clamped, weighted twenty percent. the volume score is the base ten logarithm of one plus the trailing day's usdg notional, divided by six and clamped, weighted fifteen percent. the tenure score is the pool's age in days over thirty, clamped, weighted fifteen percent. a composite cannot be produced while any of the five is absent.
two exponentially weighted averages track usdg notional, one for intake and one for expulsion. each has a half life of three hundred seconds and is decayed every second in the browser. their sum is passed through the base ten logarithm of one plus the sum, divided by five, clamped to zero and one, and mapped onto four to forty beats per minute. the direction is systole when intake is at least expulsion and diastole otherwise. the rate sets the ring's tick speed, the breathing of the shell, and the sweep of the trace in the specimen column.
depth is read as the pool's active liquidity and converted to usdg. with l the liquidity and s the square root price as a fraction, the virtual usdg reserve is l times s when usdg is token one, or l divided by s when usdg is token zero, and depth is twice that reserve, the token side being worth the same as the usdg side at the current price. market value is price times circulating supply. the membrane is depth over market value.
the holder index replays every transfer event of the contract from its deployment block and maintains a balance per address. the zero address, the dead address, and the pool manager's holding are sinks and are removed before ranking. the hundred largest remaining addresses are the cells. the herfindahl index, the nakamoto count and the entropy are computed over those hundred and reported in the specimen column. the index is refreshed every thirty seconds and the count of nonzero balances is the cell count.
the trailing day's swaps are laid end to end and cut into fifty buckets of equal usdg notional. in each bucket the absolute difference between intake and expulsion is divided by the bucket's notional. the mean of those fifty fractions is reported as vpin. it does not enter the composite. it is there so that a reader can tell a composite earned on two sided flow from one earned on a single side.
until a token address and a pool identifier are configured, the capsule is sealed. the page renders in full; the readings are empty. the seal is not a loading state and there is no spinner or message attached to it. it is the honest state of an instrument with nothing bound to it. when the configuration is supplied the first overview poll produces a composite, the form is assigned after the sixty second dwell, and the molt from sealed to that form is the first entry in the capsule record.
there is no account, no wallet, no way to buy or sell on this site, no prediction, no target, no roadmap, no message board and no announcement. the site is a reading instrument and it reads what the chain reports.

one unit presently exchanges for usdg, with hourly and daily changes of and . the price is computed from the pool's square root price on every ten second overview poll and pushed onto a session history, and one sample an hour is written to the samples table so that the daily change and the strip below survive a reload. the strip reproduces the trailing twenty four hours at hourly granularity, oldest hour on the left. the specimen column reads this same figure for the market value that sizes the membrane.
the market presently values the circulating specimen at usdg, with a fully diluted figure of usdg. circulating supply is total supply less the balances of the zero address, the dead address and the pool's own unpooled holding; total supply is read from the contract on each overview poll and the sinks from the holder index. no interpolation is applied between polls. the market value is the denominator of the membrane and the fully diluted figure is reported for the reader only.
the pool holds usdg of depth, a ratio of against market value. depth is read from the pool manager's liquidity for the active range through the state view contract and converted to usdg on both sides at the present price. the ratio is the sole input to the membrane score and is refreshed on the same ten second cadence. a pool whose depth exceeds half its market value is treated as fully coherent; depth beyond that point does not raise the score further.
the trailing twenty four hours carried usdg of notional, of which was intake and expulsion. the session averages that drive the pulse presently stand at against . flow is read from the swaps table, which the index function fills from the pool manager's swap events, and the notional of a swap is the absolute usdg amount that crossed. the bar below divides the day's notional between the two directions.
the day's notional is resliced into fifty buckets of equal size, and within each bucket the absolute imbalance between intake and expulsion is taken as a fraction of the bucket. the twelve most recent buckets are drawn below, oldest on the left, each bar's height the bucket's imbalance. the mean over all fifty is the vpin reading reported in the specimen column, and a bucket is only counted once it is full, so a young pool shows fewer than twelve bars and no vpin until fifty buckets exist.
the ten largest cells are listed below from the holder index, refreshed every thirty seconds. shares are given to two decimal places against circulating supply and addresses are shown as their first six and last four characters. the full hundred drive the herfindahl, nakamoto and entropy readings in the specimen column and their placement in the cloud and the map. sinks are removed before ranking.
